Bringing color
to caregiving
We all age. It’s our lot in life. In many ways, our elderly loved ones are a reflection of our future selves. By helping nurture the vibrant spirit of those we care for, we can also bring it out within ourselves.
What we value
The humanity
within each of us
We value the rich experiences of a life well lived. We value the possibilities of creativity, joy and optimism. We value and applaud the caregivers who dedicate so much of themselves for those they selflessly care for.
What we’re all about
Empowering caregivers
We’re passionate about building a society where caregivers have the know-how and confidence to bring out the best in the elderly they support.
When caregivers have quality support, they are freed up to be truly present in the lives of elders they care for.
Tina Johnston, RN
Tina founded Springbird to transform eldercare into a more compassionate, authentic, and joyful experience.
With 25 years as a nurse and daughter to aging parents herself, Tina recognized the need for individualized care approaches. Since childhood, Tina has felt drawn to help elders live joyful, independent lives. Her career has spanned roles as a clinical liaison and family advocate, nursing home consultant, home safety advisor, and care manager for hundreds of clients. As a registered nurse and certified dementia practitioner with certificates in palliative and hospice care, Tina understands the challenges facing elders and caregivers today.
Tina focuses on each client as a whole person with distinct needs. She aims to enrich the quality of life for the caregiver and their loved one through diverse collective expertise, uniting her clinical experience with a collaborative, holistic approach. She brings her dedication and passion to Springbird to facilitate human connection and help people experience joy, improve optimism, and make the most of their journey.
